Uniform

 At Orion Ravensworth, we believe that our uniform plays an important role in fostering a sense of belonging and pride within our school community. Our uniform is designed to be smart, practical, and comfortable, allowing students to focus on their learning while representing our school positively.

Wearing uniform helps create an inclusive environment where all students feel equal, regardless of background. It also instills a sense of discipline and prepares students for future environments where dress codes apply. We ask that all students wear the correct uniform each day, and we appreciate the support of parents and carers in helping maintain these standards.

Reception Children

For children in Reception, all children will be required to wear;

• A navy blue Ravensworth jumper or cardigan with the new logo (September 2025)
• A white polo top (unbranded)
• Dark grey trousers (winter) or tailored dark grey shorts (summer)
• Dark grey skirt, dark grey pinafore dress, blue gingham summer dress
• White socks, grey socks or grey tights
• Black shoes or black trainers with no logos

Children in Years 1-6

For children in Years 1-6, all children will be required to wear;

• The existing navy blue Ravensworth jumper or cardigan or a navy blue Ravensworth jumper or cardigan with the new logo
• A white polo top (unbranded)
• Dark grey trousers (winter) or tailored dark grey shorts (summer)
• Dark grey skirt, dark grey pinafore dress, blue gingham summer dress
• White socks, grey socks or grey tights
• Black shoes or black trainers with no logos

PE Kit

We have simplified our approach to PE kits. To support children with the teaching of PE, children will need;

• A plain white t-shirt (unbranded)
• Unbranded black shorts (summer) or black jogging bottoms (winter)
• An unbranded black sweatshirt (winter)
• Black trainers (please note children should not be wearing school shoes to take part in PE)

The PE kit is unbranded to help reduce costs for parents and carers by removing the need for a branded PE jumper, which would be an additional expense.

Additional information

• Ties are no longer a requirement of the school unform and are no longer required to be worn
• The lighter blue (PE) jumper is no longer being used. The only jumper moving forward will be the navy blue Ravensworth jumper.
